Inspirational Sites: Check Out the “Good” Online Resources

Ever want to be able to go somewhere quickly for a little dose of heartwarming and/or mind-pleasing info? One of the inspirational sites on my regular list is Good News on The Huffington PostWhat follows are other worthy places I’ve recently found.

Karma Tube

KarmaTube is dedicated to bringing inspirational stories to light, using the power of video and the internet to multiply acts of kindness, beauty, and generosity.”

A few of the most popular videos on the site are “The Empathic Civilization,” “You Worry About Me. But What About You? Best Anti-Smoking Ad,” and “How to Make Stress Your Friend.”

Daily Good: News That Inspires

Here’s something I’ve wondered about, “How Doctors Die“— “Speaking from his own experience, Ken Murray, Clinical Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of San Francisco, offers his thoughts on why many doctors elect to avoid life-saving treatment for themselves in favor of spending their final days and weeks with family and friends.”

Take a look at this and so many other things on Daily Good.

Collect the Reasons

“Though it wasn’t originally conceived as a suicide prevention campaign, ‘Collect the Reasons’ has been lauded for championing life and for giving hope to those who may need it.” Click on http://collectthereasons.org/ either to add your own reason to live or to read those of others.

Despair, Inc.

Among the inspirational sites is…Oops! How’d this anti-inspirational, anti-motivational site get here? Despair, Inc. actually promotes “the cure for hope”:

No industry has inflicted more suffering than the Motivational Industry. Motivational books, speakers and posters have made billions of dollars selling shortcuts to success and tools for unleashing our unlimited potential. At Despair, we know such products only raise hopes to dash them. That’s why our products go straight to the dashing! Enjoy!

Demotivator” products include “the most powerful depressants you can get without a prescription. Or with.” There are calendars, posters, t-shirts, etcetera.
